The True “SHATTER-PROOF” Phone Coming To India?

Since the launch of Moto G Turbo, everybody has been curious about the Moto Droid Turbo 2 Dubbed Moto X Force.
Just like the other Droids, Droid Turbo 2 was initially launched in America exclusively for Verizon in 2015. A few months later the company announced an international version of the phone that would be called Moto X Force.

Moto X Force although a little late was the new aim at the flagship market. The stand out feature that this device showcased was the availability of a shatter-proof display.
A few days ago MOTOROLA tweeted a teaser video which clearly stated that the Moto X force isn’t far away and is coming soon to the Indian market.

So let’s have a look what Motorola offers and what to expect.

DESIGN

The Moto X force comes with a tough and rugged build just the way it’s expected to behave. The rest of the Moto line up comes with a smooth curved back where as this guy right here has flat back and more angled corners with thicker aluminium edges.

The device has a Black nylon back cover which looks pretty tough too, although a bit chunky the device isn’t all that heavy after-all. On the front we have different looking speakers, and a large chin (definitely don’t look very pretty). Overall the device isn’t as sleek and good looking as the Moto X style but just a single look can convey the message about what the phone is supposed to do. It’s a work horse!

PERFORMANCE AND HARDWARE

The device packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC (Due to bad timing) as we know the Snapdragon 820 was just released, the device comes with 3GB of RAM which is quite what is expected from 2015 flagships.

It offers 32/64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via a Micro SD card. There are two speakers below the screen which are not stereo speakers like the Moto X Style but still manage to be pretty loud. The device is powered by a large 3,760mAh battery which the company claims can last 48 hours, but if not that I’m pretty sure it would last you a good time. On top of that we have Motorola’s Turbo Charge feature which is great to give you a quick charge if you are running late.

The performance is smooth and snappy thanks to the near stock android experience. There isn’t any lag or stutter that you’ll face even with high demanding games and stuff. The Snapdragon 810 is famous for it’s heating issues but the Force manages to keep it cool, it does get a little warm on intensive use but definitely doesn’t get hot.

DISPLAY

The device packs a 5.4 inch Quad-HD AMOLED display which gives it an superb crisp and sharp display at 540ppi.
But that’s not the best part. the catch here is that the device claims to have and I quote “A Shatter proof display”, which means that you won’t break the screen when you drop your phone from great heights.

But the craziness doesn’t stop there. This screen can take blows from a hammer and still manage to work. I even saw some crazy people dropping it from a height of 900 feet and the display was intact. So, that’s shatter proof….

CAMERA

The Moto X Force features a 21-megapixel rear camera and a 5-mega pixel front camera similar to what we saw on the Moto X Style. The images are great in good lighting conditions, with nice details and accurate colors but in the low light imaging the camera still lags behind and the lack of OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) is definitely felt. *Hopefully they would further improve the camera with 2016 models*.

Moto X Force camera

The camera app isn’t that advance compared to what we have so far seen on other flagships. It does offer slow-mo at 720p which is nice and smooth, the camera is also capable of shooting 4K at 30fps. It also offers HDR mode in both 1080p and 4K recording.

The 5 megapixel selfie shooter is also pretty good and that front facing flash is helpful on a dark night or maybe a party, it perfectly does what it is supposed to be doing.

FINAL VERDICT

The phone definitely is great. The shatter proof screen is what makes it shine out of the crowd, imagine how cool it would be to just show your friends that dropping your phone isn’t scary any more, just drop it to the ground and pick it up put it in your pocket just keep moving… #Jealous_People ?? 😛

Buy now Moto X Force
Okay anyways coming back to the point, the only thing I am doubtful about is the price of the Moto X Force (Guessing it to be between 45k to 50k) but having a look at Motorola’s trend I’m hopeful that Force would not disappoint us, because it’s a great device and an all rounder which isn’t too common these days…
